Abib specializes in gentle and nourishing formulas for sensitive skin. They have specialized in refreshing sunscreens, heartleaf skincare and more – but have released a brand new PDRN line for 2025. Light, baby-pink and exciting – they released deep, retinal eye patches, an overnight jelly mask and a light lip mask.  

So, what’s so exciting about an overnight jelly mask? For dry or sensitive skin, a good jelly mask is an amazing tool to not just improve your natural hydration, but to improve absorption of all your skincare routine (preventing water loss overnight). Not only does this mask contain good hydration, however, its also infused with skin plumping peptides to immediate firm and lift skin, with background extracts to brighten and refresh skin. This jelly cream has been carefully formulated to create the ultimate, boosting and radiant experience – so does it deliver on that promise? Let’s put it to the test! 

Niacinamide: brightening vitamin B3, this antioxidant helps brighten natural skin tone and lifts dark spots from cells for clearer, more even skin tone. 

Collagen: this large molecule doesn’t absorb into skin, but helps form a protective barrier on the surface, to push hydration deeper into skin cells and plump appearance. 

PDRN: extracted fragments of DNA, these help repair cell energy pathways for improved skin healing and youthful appearance. 

Centella asciatica extract: hydrating and soothing plant extract that helps moisturize and cool irritation within skin. 

Ginkgo Biloba Leaf extract: rich in antioxidants to naturally balance skin pH, remove impurities and reduce wrinkles for refreshed and brightened skin. 

Moso Bamboo extract: rich in antioxidants and deeply moisturizing, this extract helps boost moisture and firm skin, whilst cooling redness and inflammation. 

Allantoin: boosts wound healing, moisturizing and soothing sensitive skin. Works best in hydrogels and light creams to infuse deeply into skin. 

Panthenol: calming and hydrating vitamin B5 that helps repair and strengthen a damaged skin barrier. 

Adenosine: promotes collagen production to help boost natural skin elasticity. A great moisturizing agent for mature skin and fine lines. 

Neem extract: improves tissue repair to help soothe spots and damaged areas of skin, whilst also reducing bacteria on skin and cooling redness and irritation. 

Ivy gourd extract: healing and soothing extract that helps protect cells against environmental pollutants and advance  

Hyaluronic Acid: plumping molecule that absorbs into skin cells to deeply boost moisture and maintain firm skin. 

Turmeric: rich, healing extract that helps reduce dark spots and boost collagen production. Also has healing properties that helps soothe dry skin, redness and irritation. 

Peptides: contains a variety of rich peptides to trigger collagen production, firm skin and reduce tension in facial muscles for smoother, clearer skin.  

This jelly mask is safe for most skin types, with gentle emollients and firming agents. It would not be beneficial in acne-prone skin (it forms a protective, thick layer which can trigger an outbreak!). It’s best suited for dehydrated, dull skin or where fine lines are starting to show, to boost moisture and firm skin.

I typically use an evening moisturizer, but not really a barrier-type cream. These help genuinely seal your skin barrier to prevent water loss and generally mean you wake up with a bit of residue palpable on your skin. I typically avoid overnight masks, as I don’t like the tactile feeling or stickiness when I sleep. But this jelly mask changed all my views on all that. This light PDRN/Collagen duo helped bring deep radiance and improved my skin texture in just a week. It comes as a thick, cooling jelly that you use at the end of your evening routine and slowly sinks into your skin to dry.  

It’s so light, that I don’t notice it when I sleep (although you can still feel it when you wake up) and the difference it brought to my skin was amazing. It helped firm up skin, moisturize fine lines and  gave me this unbeatable radiance. You can see the lift to my cheekbone just after two weeks of using! It's literally my favourite skincare product and I would really recommend it to anyone looking to boost their natural shine and glow. It helped improve my skin texture a ton and helped moisturize around my eyes, cheeks and forehead.

I genuinely use this barrier cream every night and every morning I wake up with a more youthful, refreshed glow and my skin texture is softer and smoother. You can see all those peptides working in real time and it's a great way to start the day.

This is genuinely one of the highest quality and refreshing overnight creams that I've ever tried. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to improve moisture and reduce fine lines, as it has a variety of great ingredients just to tackle those. I've gotten a month's use out of one jar (a little goes a long way) and it's really just a good product. The only downside is that it is thick (as most barrier creams are) and would be non-beneficial in acne-prone or oilier skin types. Otherwise, it's really great for gentle, overnight care.
