Cleansing Powders – Exfoliation, Brightening and Pore-Care All In One – How to Use and Which Product is Queen?
1. Dispense a small amount of powder (a coin amount) onto wet palm and add a similar amount of water.
2. Rub together to lather, which should form a sticky mask.
3. Gently massage into skin, avoiding eyes, massaging for up to 60s
4. Wash thoroughly with cool-to-warm water.
Optionally: can be used as a face mask for 3-5min, for extra brightening and clean feeling.
Does it clean better than other cleansers?
Direct comparison will depend on the products – but if you are struggling with oily skin or dead skin cells, it will clean better than a standard foam-based cleanser. The reason for this is the soft powder and enzymes gently exfoliate, removing deeper sebum and skin cells.
Is it environmentally friendly?
Cleansing powders were actually designed as an environmentally friendly alternative to large bottles of soap. The cleansers mentioned in the article all work with natural-based ingredients that are not harmful to sewer systems and are biodegradable.
Is it ok for sensitive skin?
Not all cleansers are universal for sensitive skin – so if you have a reaction to products in general, make sure you are careful in choosing a cleanser. This product list is mostly sensitive skin friendly, especially the Tocobo cleanser and Tir Tir Enzyme powder wash (which are designed with non-irritation in mind!)
