They create nourishing formulas that blur the line between skincare and make-up, creating products that multi-task to make your morning routine that much easier.

As the weather gets hotter outside, I'm back on the hunt for a nourishing moisturizer that can keep my skin glowing and clear. But! I wanted a moisturizer that can be light enough to apply underneath make-up for a glowy AM look. Not an easy ask, but if anyone can create a lightweight, make-up compatible moisturizer - it's Missha!

Trehalose: deep hydrating agent that helps reduce fine line formation, preventing degradation of collagen and stimulating skin barrier repair.   

Niacinamide: classic Korean beauty ingredient, vitamin B3 that helps reduce appearance of dark spots and even textures for a gentle glow.     

Bergamot Fruit Oil: soothing citrus extract that helps soothe redness, blemishes and clear and brighten skin texture. 

Lavender Oil: stimulates cell healing and helps prevent irritation, skin flaking and actively cools skin to prevent heat. 

Pine Leaf Oil: moisturizing and soothing bark extract that helps relieve itching and redness, whilst improving natural hydration.   

Hyaluronic Acid (x10 weights): water magnet that helps draw water into skin cells and hold it for lasting, deep hydration that carries your throughout the day.   

Mineral Water: soothing and anti-inflammatory extract that helps boost immune function to cool unwarranted irritation, soothe itching and calm skin deeply. 

Macadamia Seed Oil: rich extract that helps smooth fine lines, plump natural skin moisture and creates a long-lasting hydration for all-day glow to skin. 

Olive Oil: nourishing extract that helps enhance skin barrier thickness and strength, maintaining hydration and boosting cell repair. 

Silver Vine extract: smoothing extract that helps restore collagen and elastin to skin, boost natural plumping and promotes protective molecules to prevent skin drying and wrinkling. 

Citric Acid: powerful extract that helps stimulate collagen to boost skin firmness, increase skin thickness and balances pH for acne-prone and inflamed skin.   

SYN®-HYCAN: stimulates hyaluronic acid production deep within the skin cells themselves for deep plumping and hydration. 

This lightweight soothing moisturizer is likely compatible for a wide variety of skin types. I would most recommend it for oily to combination skin types who are looking for a moisture boost without needing any thicker residue. 

It does also contain some essential oils which can be irritating for sensitive skin types, so if you have had reactions to previous bergamot or lavender extracts it's likely not the moisturizer for you.

I have sensitive and acne-prone skin, but am always looking for a good moisturizer that helps boost hydration without the breakouts and redness.

The Missha Ultra Hyalron moisturizer comes as a perfect mix of cream and gel, incredibly lightweight and absorbing into the skin as soon as it touches. It absorbs so well, you can layer it with ease and it is scentless and mixes easily with other skincare.

I added it to my morning routine to add extra moisture before make-up and it absorbs perfectly well, creating a hydrated base for foundation and make-up.

For a moisturizer that has sold well and been popular for over 7 years, I'm not surprised that it is very successful at hydrating and cooling skin. It helps reduce patchy redness in your skin, blends with ease and helps plump and refresh my skin every morning.

In the before-and-after (2 weeks of use), you can see the improvement to these red patches, smoother skin texture and gentle healthy glow to skin. I love using it prior to a face of make-up, as my skin feels protected and it adds a smoother texture to foundation application.

I love that it's suitable for a variety of skin types, incredibly delicate and plumping all in one and reminds me that the more simple formulas (free from all the extra add ins and extracts) can make a massive difference.

This nourishing lightweight moisturizer is perfect for irritated and red skin that needs a deep moisture boost or to pair with a smooth make-up look. It absorbs easily, provides deep hydration for your day and gives your skin a healthy glow that you'll be obsessed with.
