Numbuzin No.9 NAD+ Bio Lifting-Sil Essence Review - Over 50 Peptides!!

It’s 50 peptides, it’s NAD+ enzymes, it’s rich and gummy and elastic. It’s the Numbuzin No.9 NAD+ Bio Lifting-Sil Essence! It’s been a long standing and popular treatment for fine lines and infusing deep peptides. Designed for all-over face care, deep hydration and glow, is it truly the secret to reducing fine lines? With the rise of NAD+ skincare lines, Numbuzin was quick to remind us, they were there first! Having tried the NAD+ collagen eye patches and the NAD+ eye cream, it was time to turn our testing skills to the famous essence. 

Where Western skincare treatments might contain a dash of peptides (and set you back hundreds of dollars), this essence is not messing around with its ingredient list. With a whopping 121 ingredients (which is perhaps the most I’ve seen in a K-beauty essence EVER), is it all good? What’s really inside there? Going through the list would take forever (and not a lot of it has been backed by science), so let’s stick to what’s important and what will really make the difference for your skin. 

Niacinamide: classic Korean beauty ingredient, vitamin B3 that helps reduce appearance of dark spots and even textures for a gentle glow. 

Shea Butter: gentle hydrating and smoothing extract, that helps refresh and soothe dry skin and fine lines (triggers acne). 

Adenosine: powerful, hydrating molecule that stimulates collagen production, enhances the natural skin barrier function and helps produce dewy, elastic skin texture.   

NAD+ enzyme: boosting extract that helps improve cellular energy, enhance DNA repair and help improve skin longevity and radiance.    

Beta-Glucan: deeply hydrating molecule that retains extra moisture and helps smooth and soften dry and damaged skin. 

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5: this peptide is in the highest concentration in this serum (for good reason), it’s been shown to boost natural collagen production, stimulate firming of skin and reduce wrinkle depth. 

Copper Gluconate: topical molecule designed to boost antioxidants’ power, improve angiogenesis of skin healing and improve collagen and elastin cross-linking for elasticity. 

Radish extract: hydrating extract that helps soften and moisturize the skin, whilst improving the structure of tissues and healing. 

Snow mushroom extract: powerful hydration and soothing extract that helps deliver long-lasting moisture to refresh and boost skin bounce. 

Glutathione: very gentle, brightening treatment that helps reduce dark spots over time, refresh the skin biome and is protective against future damage.   

Astaxanthin: powerful antioxidant action that reduces environmental radiation and damage, whilst boosting natural elasticity and healing skin textures. 

Biotin: vitamin B7 helps improve skin barrier integrity, improve metabolism of epidermal cells and maintain cell hydration. 

Clover Extract: soothing extract that helps boost skin’s healing, improves cell thickness so can improve cell barrier function and fine lines. 

Many Peptides (49 others): There are so many peptides inside this essence and not all of them have clinical papers to prove their unique efficacy. This essence contains all of the peptides in our peptide blog – so feel free to read up and learn about the benefits and science behind them.

This hydrating and firming essence is ideal for dry skin and fine lines. It's therefore, less ideal for oily skin and (especially) acne-prone skin due to the higher presence of shea butter.

In my case, I was trying to use it for forehead lines and under eye fine lines to help boost moisture (along with the AGE-R Booster Pro X2). But there was some irritation, which caused a light breakout of acne, which I attributed to the inclusion of shea butter.

For pure peptide quantity however, this essence is yet to be beaten on the market.

I added the famous essence to the areas of my face with fine lines, as well as using it lightly with the Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro X2 (as it is a fantastic addition with peptides). If you get those peptides deeply absorbed, you'll see an instant lifting and reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. 

This lightweight essence is like a tactile gel that absorbs deeply into your skin with ease and can be layered well with a variety of products. I have wonderfully, acne-prone skin and wanted to see if the shea butter would be triggering (and unfortunately it was - but not as bad as some I've tried before).

Although you can see a couple fresh acne spots, what did shine through was the instant lift to my cheek. You can see the rounded sag of the before to the flattened after which was incredible. Although only 12 of the peptides in the ingredient list have correlating science behind them, there was really a rapid transformation to the structure of my jaw and cheeks. 

It was also smoothing to the slight fine lines around my eyes and acted as a gentle treatment for skin. If you are looking for a firming treatment for fine lines (as well as hydration for dry and combination skin), I would well recommend this essence. It is less suited for acne-prone skin however, due to the shea butter.

It's important to remember that over 120 ingredients makes it less beneficial for sensitive skin types and the shea butter will impact acne-prone skin… but this essence delivers a powerful punch of peptides. With the combination of NAD+ you are likely to see a dramatic improvement to cheekbones and jawlines.

I did get this effect using the Medicube AGE-R Booster X2 device (which pushes those peptides nice and deep for maximum definition), so keep that in mind if trying out at home!

How long does it take to see lifting results from Numbuzin No.9? 

Thanks to its rich, elastic jelly texture and high concentration of hydrating molecules like beta-glucan and snow mushroom extract, you can notice an immediate plumping and cooling effect. Visible structural improvements to fine lines and cheek firmness typically show within a few weeks of consistent daily use.
