As a team, Arktastic has been selling Korean cosmetics for 5 years. In that time, we've had countless questions about how to use cosmetics, how to make a routine and more!

Importantly, we've seen a variety of times that new users to Korean beauty buy a variety of products that ultimately won't work well together - either for a skin type or to fix a beauty concern.

And it's not just new users. Even we've bought and tried, time and again, products that just weren't worth it, weren't designed for our skin type and just left a hole in our routine. 

That's why we began work on Pogi. Our technical team has put months and months of love into his creation, to create an elegant solution for those new to skincare.

Pogi is designed as a skincare tool to help you learn quickly about skincare and ensure you pick products that are right for you and work well in a routine.

Pogi is also being developed into a full skincare assistant; available to give you deeper advice about your skin and design a personalized Korean beauty routine at the touch of a button.

Pogi has been trained on a variety of databases and skincare sources to understand how products work together and what ingredients to prioritise. 

This has gone hand-in-hand with our own research and blog pages; which refer to scientific and dermatology journals to provide accurate and helpful advice to users. 

Pogi has been given a large variety of knowledge about thousands of skincare topics, ingredients, benefits and routines - and has also been trained on customer feedback and user experiences with different products.

Therefore, he doesn't just trust a products ‘ingredients’ to see if its good, he actually prefers products that have positive reviews to ensure customer satisfaction.

This is the Pogi available now across our website. He travels with you across the website to each product page, ready to give you advice and answer any questions you have about the product. 

We've noticed that people newer to skincare can have a hard time finding the right products for their skin or pick products that might exacerbate conditions (such as dryness or acne) or even have no results at all. Wondering how to use a Vitamin C serum correctly? Pogi knows. Want to use microneedling and retinol? Ask Pogi.

Pogi is here to minimise waste, giving you advice on products that actually work and are  positively reviewed. He also prefers longevity over hot new fads. If a product has been well-loved and bought for over 5 years, Pogi will be more likely to recommend it.

Pogi is also being trained as an AI K-Beauty Assistant. This means, not only can he answer all your questions about individual products and skincare concerns, but he also puts together a routine for maximum benefit for your individual skin concerns.

He's been trained on a large variety of skin types, conditions and nuances to help draw together popular products that work well for the individual. 

He's trained on our database, products that are well loved in South Korea and brings them together for treatments that leave your skin feeling soft and cared for. He's still in training (hence Pogi Beta). 

This feature is only available for a select few as we continue testing - but we have high hopes for Pogi's ability to make your skincare routines easy to navigate!

It's important to remember, Pogi has the knowledge of a beautician and skincare assistant. For any really concerning skincare conditions; i.e. rash, flare, swelling, dark spots or severe acne, always check in with a medical professional.

Pogi is also trained deeply in skincare, skin health and beauty products; thus is not designed to deviate from these topics. This is an important safety feature, to prevent Pogi from giving out advice about topics he is not trained for.

What is Pogi?
Pogi is a new AI tool designed by our team to help users put together a better, streamlined skincare routine. He has knowledge on our entire range of skincare products; including active ingredients, how to use them correctly, what to avoid and what skin types benefit best. 

He is not advanced enough to overtake any traditional skincare advice (always see a doctor if you are struggling), but rather acts as an assistant to help you get the best out of your skincare (and save money by buying only beneficial products).

How Does Pogi Work?
Pogi is an interface on an AI model that has been trained on skincare databases, studies and forums to be able to give up-to-date skincare advice. He has great knowledge on a variety of active ingredients, safety profiles and how to use products together. 

He is also extrapolating this information to put together skincare routines for individual users, based on their skin concerns (but this is still in beta edition).

Is Pogi Secure to Talk To?
Yes, Pogi secures all your data and talks so others outside of our team cannot see/access them. Pogi is also programmed to only talk about skincare as a basis. This is because his whole world knowledge is skincare-centric and he will give poor advice outside of his own specialty.

What Can Pogi Help Me With?
Pogi is trained to have knowledge about all our skincare products, how they work and what they are designed to do. This includes preferred skin type, how to treat acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and dry/oily skin.

Is Pogi Accurate?
Pogi is still learning in-depth about individual products and doesn't have a deep memory for every ingredient in each product. Thus, he's unreliable when trying to research allergies or ingredients you may be sensitive to. 

His skincare knowledge is airtight, but like any AI model, he definitely can be wrong. You can rely on advice around actives, how to use them and putting together a routine - but if you have any sensitivities, allergies or items you must avoid, always do your own research before buying or testing products.
