Shea butter: rich moisturizing emollient that helps hydrate and soften dry/damaged skin. Rich in Vitamin A and E for long-lasting moisture. [Not suitable for acne-prone skin].
Niacinamide: brightening vitamin B3 that helps to reduce dark spots and pigment, whilst infusing a deep and rich glow to skin.
Tranexamic acid (2.5%): inhibits melanin synthesis to prevent pigment formation, cool inflammation and reduce redness for clearer, even skin texture.
Panthenol: soothing and hydrating vitamin B5 that helps nourish and protect dry/damaged skin for stronger and more protected skin biome.
Glutathione: powerful antioxidant that helps reduce pigment formation and reduce wrinkle depth for clearer, smoother skin.
Vitamin E: rich and hydrating vitamin E helps provide barrier protection against UV-damage and reduce inflammation for faster healing, stronger skin barrier.

Who Should Avoid?
This rich cream is designed to as a hydrating ointment and is infused with shea butter. As such, it's not designed for acne-prone and oily skin types - as it's likely to aggravate acne and feel occlusive. It forms a protective, healing barrier - which makes it most ideal for dry, damaged and sensitive skin.
The Results
Brightening treatments can be an irritating picture for dry and sensitive skin types. Ingredients designed to make you glow can often be irritating, drying or create an acidic/astringent feeling for sensitive skin that can make these products feel aggravating to your skin. Discovering a sensitive, hydrating ointment designed to improve skin brightness was an exciting addition to K-beauty's range and I wanted to test it out. I have typically sensitive skin that is easily irritated and can be patchy and red.
But after immediately applying this cream, it was a soothing ointment. It is deceptively thick, feeling delicate and light on your face, but it forms a sealing barrier that keeps moisture in overnight and gives you a glowing feeling on waking up.
You can see the before and after above of just two weeks use. All the irritation was gone from my face, my pores were clearer and my skin was soft and uniform. It created a noteable brightness and helped tone down dark spots, despite having such a gentle formula. It's become an essential part of my evening routine, as it helps seal in all your previous skincare ingredients and creates a refreshing and protective barrier overnight.
Final Thoughts
Unlike a lot of Axis-Y's products, this one is not designed for acne-prone skin. It's actually one for the dry skin clan and it works wonderfully well. If you are struggling with dark spots and inflammation, but generally have drier and more sensitive skin - this is the perfect cream for you. Seriously, it's inexpensive, refreshing and lasts you a great amount of time, so pick one up to get some deep refreshment in your routine.
