Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse Honest Review – The Cost of Radiance

The Centellian24 Madeca Cream (Time Reverse Edition) is enriched with a variety of essential oils, collagen and peptides. What is the effect and is it the secret to your glow? Let's see the before-and-after in this review.

Centellian24 is a legacy brand in South Korea, beloved for their gentle and nourishing formulas that combine traditional ingredients with wonderful effect. Their original Madeca Cream has sold over 80 million times and is beloved for its absolutely holistic and gentle approach to caring for skin. It was a simple and honest formula of centella asciatica extract (forming the base), carefully extracted TECA, niacinamide, panthenol and adenosine.

But Centellian24 has raised the stakes with their new Time Reverse edition, infused with refreshing collagen, firming peptides and retinol. These each have a different action to firm skin, lift excess and reduce appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. This elevates their sensitive cream to a more sophisticated, rich experience – designed specifically for dry, mature skin that needs a little glow added to it. Balanced with soothing essential oils (lavender, macadamia and rosemary) and a touch of enriching ceramides, it’s an exciting new addition the Centellian24 range.

But, is it worth it? How does it hold up to the original Madeca cream? Let’s put it to the test to see how it reacts and if there’s a visible improvement to fine lines.

What's In The Bottle?

Niacinamide: brightening vitamin B3 that helps reduce appearance of dark spots and uneven skin textures. A favourite in K-Beauty for the golden glow it gives to skin.

Panthenol: gentle and repairing vitamin B5 that is perfect for helping moisturize and protect skin barrier against damage.

Beeswax: rich extract that helps form a barrier to seal in moisture for incredibly soft, hydrated skin texture

Madecassic Acid: extracted from centella asciatica, this molecule has been shown to improve skin barrier healing, reduce inflammation and reduce appearance of dark spots

Centella Asciatica (protein, oil, leaf extract): this cream has 12 different forms of centella asciatica within it, each extracted to provide a different benefit of the healing plant. This is designed to hydrate, rebuild the skin barrier, strengthen skin texture and reduce appearance of fine lines and scars.

Essential Oils: including lavender, orange, grapefruit, bergamot, macademia, olive and rosemary. Although essential oils can be irritating in acne-prone or sensitive skin types, they are beloved for their rich healing antioxidants that help reduce cell stress, preventing dark spots forming and improving repair time.

Allantoin: moisturizing molecule that helps boost skin cell healing, improves regeneration of the skin barrier and improves hydration

Adenosine: repairing molecule that helps reduce appearance of fine lines, reduces depth of wrinkles and stimulates both collagen and elastin production for smooth, luscious skin texture.

Ceramides: small compound that helps seal cracks in your natural skin barrier, creating a tight and water-proof surface that keeps water inside cells and prevents drying and breaking of skin.

Collagen Amino Acids: breaking up the large molecule of collagen, it provides enriching peptides that helps strengthen the skin biome, improves cell function and gives a gentle layer of moisture.

Resveratrol: rich antioxidant that helps reduce fine lines, refresh wrinkles and enhance natural elasticity of skin for firmer, brighter texture.

Hydrolyzed Elastin: broken up molecules of elastin that helps enhance natural moisture and skin firmness, whilst reducing wrinkle depth for improved stretch and glow.

Ectoin: powerful skin repair molecule that provides deep hydration to skin and creates a protective barrier to skin, reducing exposure to pollutants and external cell stressors.

Retinol: refreshing vitamin A, provides rich antioxidant action to exfoliate away external dead skin cells and boost collagen production underneath, for a powerful remodeling of fine lines.

Phytosphingosine: natural sphingolipid that helps strengthen the skin barrier, preventing water loss and creating a stronger protection against infection and inflammation.

PDRN: DNA fragments that absorb deep into cell’s centre to improve healing pathways, boost cell function and creates ability for cells to regenerate

Vitamin B12: rich cyanocobalamin helps cool redness and irritation of the skin barrier, whilst providing healing boost to skin cells for refreshed radiance and texture.

Who Should Avoid?

Compared to the original Madeca Cream, this formula is COMPLEX. It has over double the original number of ingredients (containing a deep variety of ingredients designed to improve fine lines and plump skin). This can be a good thing, but it does rule out this cream for sensitive skin types. With so many ingredients and almost a dozen different essential oils, it’s a high risk to trigger irritation to sensitive skin. It’s a better choice for robust skin struggling with dullness and fine lines.

The Results

It's important to note first and foremost, that this cream is specially designed to help enhance fine lines and boost skin texture. It gives powerful results - when used on the right skin type and used correctly. It has a thick, ointment-like texture, that creates a thin barrier over your skin and holds moisture overnight for a refreshed morning look.

I have fine lines and semi-sensitive skin, so was a bit wary of the variety of essential oils (as these are a very common irritant for sensitive skin types). This cream however produced immediate results that were absolutely radiant. It boosted moisture, created a protective barrier and infused a rich glow and even skin tone that was unparalleled by previous moisturizers that I'd tried. It has a refreshing herbal scent that is classic of the original Centellian24 Madeca cream (richly infused with centella asciatica extracts).

In the above before and after of two weeks use, you can see a radical difference. It infused a deep glow to my skin, reduced puffiness and helped vanish and hydrate fine lines. It was so effective, I started using it in my PM routine on its own just to be sure it was this moisturizer causing the effect.

You can clearly see the reduction in fine lines, the even glow and improved firmness of skin. It can absolutely be used as a one-hit solo routine - and is perfect for evening routine. It does contain retinol (which can be irritating), so be sure to not combine with other retinol/retinal products to prevent irritation.

Final Thoughts

I would recommend this cream to use as a daily moisturizer for any skin type with fine lines. It's less suitable for sensitive skin (again, the large number of essential oils are a common irritant), but ideal for dry skin types for a hit of moisture and reducing wrinkle depth and fine lines. It upholds the traditional glow of the original Madeca Cream, but infused with deep intent to bring out your youthful glow.
